Central Pennsylvania faces important challenges and opportunities that HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College, is best positioned to address. The need for a skilled workforce has been cited by community leaders as critical to the region's economic development. Our citizens are not attending college at a rate that can generate and sustain regional prosperity. Therefore, HACC and the HACC Foundation are moving forward with fundraising campaigns to help the region resolve its challenges and capitalize on its opportunities. These campaigns will allow HACC to invest in the future for our region by increasing access and opportunity, leading workforce and economic development initiatives and ensuring access to excellence in instructional equipment and technology that will prepare the workforce.
The purpose of a capital campaign is to raise funds for a tangible product (something you can touch - a building or a piece of equipment, for example). HACC’s fundraising campaign is a comprehensive campaign, raising funds for four priorities - one capital priority (Bruce E. Cooper Student Center Renovations) and three intangible priorities (Emergency Assistance Funds, The President’s Fund for Excellence and Scholarships).
A campaign is different from regular fundraising for the College because it has specific priorities and a long-term fundraising goal.
The five-year fundraising campaign benefits current and future students, employees and the communities HACC serves.
The purpose of the campaign is to raise $14 million to support four priorities - the Bruce E. Cooper Student Center Renovation, Emergency Assistance Funds, The President's Fund for Excellence and Scholarships. The four campaign priorities each have strategic goals that were set after a feasibility study was completed in summer 2014. The Invest. Impact. Inspire. Campaign for HACC - a five-year, comprehensive fundraising campaign - kicked off its internal phase in August 2015 at the six HACC Convocation events and will conclude in 2020.

As a scholarship recipient, you have been given the opportunity to continue your education. The donor of your scholarship may be a prominent business leader, a faculty member you know or a benefactor you have never met.
We appreciate your desire to communicate with the donor of your scholarship. However, it is inappropriate for students to contact donors with questions or concerns about their scholarships. Students should not contact donors to ask for money, express concerns about the College or the HACC Foundation, or ask questions about scholarship disbursements. A donation to the HACC Foundation is a gift, and our donors may wish to remain anonymous or simply be left alone.
To respect the privacy of our donors, all questions or concerns about your scholarship must be communicated through the HACC Foundation . Here are two suggestions on how you can communicate with donors:
