Meet Anbria: High-Achieving Transfer Student

“HACC has given me gifts that are priceless.”

Anbria Bates says that both HACC and non-HACC students ask her why she will only have to attend Penn State for one year instead of two after she gets her associate degree in business administration. What these curious people don’t know is that HACC has special agreements with many four-year institutions to ensure successful student transfers. Through the dual admissions agreement that HACC has with Penn State Harrisburg, Anbria is earning credits that will transfer into a bachelor’s degree program and saving a lot of money on tuition along the way.

HACC pride runs in Anbria’s family. Her mother, aunts and grandmother – all women she said she looks up – took HACC classes.

“From meeting people from all walks of life, to exploring possible industries I may want to work in, to building friendships and relationships that I hope last forever…HACC has given me gifts that are priceless,” Anbria said.

Anbria was accepted to Penn State Harrisburg and said she hopes to excel there like she has at HACC. She plans to get a master’s degree from Penn State, too.
