Professional Dog Grooming
HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, in partnership with Groom Curriculum, is launching a Professional Dog Grooming Program.
The course prepares students for the American Kennel Club Professional Groomer Credential (AKC-PGC).
Students will leave the program with:
- An industry-recognized credential
- Training in safe and humane handling.
- Mastery of grooming equipment and sanitation practices
- Experience with common pet salon styles
- Techniques for grooming puppies and senior dogs
- A pathway to employment in local salons, mobile grooming or self-employment
