HACC offers a variety of classes for professionals so they may learn new skills, earn continuing education units (CEUs) and maintain their licenses.

The Senator John J. Shumaker Public Safety Center is an authorized American Heart Association (AHA) training center. We provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training. Please visit this webpage to learn about CPR training at HACC.

This 3-day in-person workshop covers critical thinking and hands on adaptations to work safely and effectively with clients who are in, or who have undergone cancer treatment. Students will practice adapting for short term, long term, and late effects of cancer treatment. They will practice gathering relevant client information, even with a very short intake time. This class culminates in a client clinic where students will have the opportunity to provide a 60-minute massage to a person affected by cancer.

Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques for Upper and Lower Body (16 CEU’s)

This 30 hour course is made up of five (6 ceu courses) Each day will focus on specific knowledge, assessment skills and treatment techniques that will provide a licensed massage therapist with a thorough knowledge base of orthopedic massage. This course will consist of Muscle Energy Techniques, Treatment of Cervical, Shoulder, lumbar and hip, knee and ankle. Each class will focus on anatomy review, palpation assessment and treatment.

This course will afford students with the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to work as professional reflexologists and prepare them for the national certification exam with the American Reflexology Certification Board.

This class is eligible for 100 CEUs for licensed massage therapists.

This class exposes massage therapists to mindfulness-based skills that can help potentiate their therapeutic competence by learning techniques based on Tragerwork principles. This class is eligible for 16 CEUs to licensed massage therapists.
