Academic Advising

Your academic advisor can help you choose which courses to take to meet your degree requirements. We recommend you contact your assigned advisor via HAWKMail. If they are not available due to leave or summer hours, please visit or call the Advising Office for assistance.

If you don’t know who your academic advisor is, log in to myHACC and look on the top right, under Academic Standing Information.

  • By Appointment:

  • Via Drop-ins:

  • To drop in via Zoom, sign in from your computer or tablet (phones are not recommended).
  • If a student sees a Zoom message stating that the "Host has locked the meeting" this means that we have met the capacity of students we are able to serve for the day and will no longer be checking students in to be seen by an advisor.

  • New Students should ensure they have completed their onboarding steps including:
    • completion of placement testing if applicable
    • submission of FAFSA form if applicable
    • submission of official HS transcripts
    • submission of any college-level transcripts for credit evaluation if applicable

    • check your HACC e-mail for communication on how to submit these items to complete your steps

Scheduling an Appointment or coming to Drop-ins
  • Placement testing must be completed or transcripts submitted prior to speaking with an advisor.
  • Appointments can also be scheduled through the Navigate student app.
  • Advising/Alternate PINs cannot be given over the phone, and require a meeting with an advisor by Zoom, by appointment or during in-person drop-in times.
  • Due to Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) regulations, we can only release academic information to the student.
