HACC to help others this holiday season

Nov. 21, 2007
Each holiday season brings parties, gift-giving and, most importantly, a time to think and care about those less fortunate than ourselves.

This holiday season, each of the regional campuses of HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College is participating in an ongoing seasonable charitable activity.

Members of the Lebanon Campus community are focusing their efforts on two local charities by collecting non-perishable food items for the Lebanon County Christian Ministries Food Bank and collecting toiletries, paper products and household items for Agape House, an emergency shelter for battered women and children.

Staff members at the Harrisburg Campus are collecting items for the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank and donations of clothing and toys to Interfaith Homeless Shelter and The Delta Community Center.

Members of the Lancaster Community are giving their their collected items for the Crispus Attucks Food Bank.

Members of the HACC-York campus are focusing their efforts on collecting items for ACCESS York Families, a shelter for abused families.

The Gettysburg Campus are collecting items for the Adams County Shelter for the Homeless and the Adams County Food Pantry.
