Preparation is key to success during HACC's spring job and internship fair

April 6, 2007
Come dressed for success and prepared to complete onsite interviews during HACC's two-day spring job and internship fair scheduled for Wednesday, April 18 and Thursday, April 19. Nearly 100 employers over the two day period will be on hand to share employment information and hire the best applicants. Open to the community as well as to HACC students and alumni, the free event runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day in the Cooper Student Center on the Harrisburg Campus of HACC.

While many of the employers will participate on both days of the annual event, HACC is featuring employers from specific industries each day of the fair. On the first day, the focus will be on business, marketing, computers, engineering, math, science, hospitality, tourism, culinary arts and trades. Education, behavioral and social sciences, human services, communications and the arts, healthcare and public safety will be featured the second day.

Job seekers should come to the fair properly dressed and fully prepared to participate in on-site interviews, according to Sheila Ciotti, director of Career Services.

"We have employers interested in hiring for career positions in all types of majors," she said. "It is important for anyone interested in succeeding to put their best foot forward."

For more information on the spring internship and job fair, stop in HACC's Career Service Center or call 717-780-2522. A comprehensive list of employers who will participate in the fair, as well as what they are looking for in applicants, is available.
