Discover Cleopatra with HACC

Continuing Education Division offers trip to new exhibit in Philadelphia
Oct. 29, 2010
HARRISBURG – Discover the ancient and exotic world of Cleopatra, the last queen of Egypt, and then do some holiday shopping, sight seeing and dinning in Philadelphia by joining HACC for a day-long bus trip on Nov. 20.
“Cleopatra: The Search for the Last Queen of Egypt” at the Franklin Institute features never before seen artifacts and takes visitors inside the present-day search for her remains, which extends from the sands of Egypt to the depths of the Bay of Aboukir near Alexandria.
Buses depart at 6 a.m. from the HACC-Harrisburg Campus and the HACC-Lancaster Campus, returning at 8 p.m. The $99 cost of the trip includes the bus and admission to the Franklin Institute for the exhibit in the morning. Participants will have a free afternoon to explore Philadelphia, shop and eat at their own expense before the buses head back home.
A free orientation lecture will be offered Nov. 18 by Donald G. Koones, Ed.D., associate dean.
