Get started on college, career at HACC-Gettysburg

Free informational session starts at 6 p.m. Oct. 14

GETTYSBURG – Students thinking about attending college can get the most up to date information at a free “Get It Started” informational session Thursday, Oct. 14, at the Gettysburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.
The event starts promptly at 6 p.m. in the Robert C. Hoffman Community Room (130) at the campus at 731 Old Harrisburg Road.
“This is an exciting time to be a part of the HACC-Gettysburg Campus,” said Heather Watt,admissions recruitment coordinator. “We are seeing record enrollment at the campus as many students are choosing to start their college education at HACC.
“HACC also offers opportunities for displaced workers and students looking for another career path. With programs that prepare students for a career or for transferring to a four-year college or university, there is something for everyone at HACC,” Watt added. “Attending the ‘Get It Started’ information session allows students and families the opportunity to learn about HACC-Gettysburg Campus from many different perspectives within the campus community, including students, faculty and staff.”
Information also will be provided on student life, clubs and activities; enrollment steps; financial aid; and English as a Second Language and Spanish GED classes, Watt said.
