HACCFest open to the public

Arts and music festival features popular local bands, student clubs and more
April 21, 2010
HARRISBURG –  HACCFest at the Harrisburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, includes local bands, art, performances and college club exhibits.
The arts and music festival brings entertainment from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, May 7, on the field in front of the James Evans Physical Education Center on the campus at One HACC Drive. The public is invited.
Artists will demonstrate glass blowing and ceramics. An inflatable device, “the wrecking ball,” will be available along with a rock climbing wall. The dunk tank returns with the chance to dunk friends, fellow students and faculty.  Hamburgers, hot dogs, ice cream, drinks and snacks will be available for sale.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Bethesda Mission in Harrisburg.
“We want to build on the success of last year’s event by expanding our event into all aspects of art.” said Bradley Roller, event coordinator and vice president of the Harrisburg Campus Student Government Association. “We added more activities such as art exhibitions and more student art on display – if you liked last year’s event, you’re going to love what we have planned this time around.”
