HACC's Wildwood Singers presents 'A Season of Hope' winter concert

HARRISBURG  — The HACC Wildwood Singers will perform this year’s winter concert, “A Season of Hope,” at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8.
The free concert takes place in the Rose Lehrman Arts Center theatre on the Harrisburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, One HACC Drive. Parking also is free.
The group will perform "Earth Song" by contemporary composer Frank Ticheli, "You Are the New Day" made popular by The King's Singers, and Billy Joel's 1984 hit "The Longest Time." Selections from Broadway musicals will include "I Dreamed a Dream" from “Les Miserables” and "Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In" from “Hair.” Seasonal pieces will include the spiritual "Keep Your Lamps Trimmed and Burning," the German carol "Es ist ein Ros entsprungen," Dov Frimer's setting of the traditional Hanukkah text "Al HaNissim" and holiday favorites "Let it Snow" and "Winter Wonderland."
The ensemble is directed by Tina Bakowski, associate professor of music. The members of the Wildwood Singers are James Baltimore, Crystal Brockman, Michael Gibson, Wendy Harrison, Jared Heisey, Andrea Johnson, Ashley Krajcsik, Cheryl Maulfair, Taylor Moritz, Kaitlin Perbetsky, Katherine Roksandic, Chris Ruble, Rachel Rupp, Meghan Settino and Amanda Zufall.
