Explore engineering, technology careers Feb. 16 at HACC

Industry leaders share career options at Midtown 2 morning session

HARRISBURG – Students interested in learning more about engineering or technology careers are invited to find out more at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.
Leaders in the industry will explain the different engineering and technology fields and their training requirements during three, 45-minute sessions 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at Midtown 2, 1500 N. Third St., Harrisburg. Their topics include: mechanical, electrical, environmental, civil, chemical, computer and architectural engineering, geospacial technology and nanofabrication technology.
The workshop is designed to help prospective students understand different types of engineering careers and what skills are needed that will ultimately help them decide on a possible career path.
“This is an excellent event for high school students to learn about careers in engineering and all the fascinating things engineers work on,” said Kim Ketelsleger, associate professor of mechanical engineering.
