Get started on college this fall with HACC classes in Chambersburg

Trade and technology programs for in-demand jobs; find out more at June 6 info session

CHAMBERSBURG – Start earning credits toward a college degree at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, with classes at Chambersburg Area Senior High School and the Franklin County Career and Technology Center.
Two free information sessions are scheduled at 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, in the career center at Chambersburg Area Senior High School, 511 S. Sixth St. Enter at the main entrance.
Potential students can find out more about the courses HACC is offering in Chambersburg and collegewide this fall. In addition to courses for general education requirements, students can also pursue study in trade and technology classes such as mechatronics, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and technology studies. Information about HACC's online classes will also be highlighted.
Counselors also will be on hand to explain transfer options, degrees and in-demand career options that are available through HACC. Attendees will hear presentations on how to enroll, apply for financial aid and register for classes. Advisers will answer questions or can help with next steps.
There is still time to register for summer classes that begin June 18. HACC’s fall semester begins Monday, Aug. 20, with classes available during the day and evening. Registration for fall classes is under way.

HACC also has a Student Services Office in the high school where students can enroll, take placement tests and get advising services.
