YORK, Pa. – HACC Academy Automotive Technology’s presentation, "A Year in Review" will be hosted by automotive instructor Chad Fadely, Certified Master Technician, at HACC’s York Campus in the Arthur J. Glatfelter Community Room of the Cytec Building onMay 8, 2013. During the event, participating high school students representing four York County high schools (Central, Dallastown, Red Lion, West York) will showcase what they learned in the year-long hands-on technical training at HACC Academy which includes Pennsylvania State Inspection/Emission Certifications. The event is free and open to the public. Community automotive representatives, high school students and their families are encouraged to attend.

“HACC Academy’s automotive program is well suited to students who enjoy working with their hands and who have a mechanical aptitude. I believe this is a beneficial program because of the skills that a high school senior can achieve,” said Fadely. “These students are going to be ahead of the average person graduating from high school by learning a trade.”

Students completing the program include Urick Mena from Central High School; from Dallastown Area High School: Joseph Bruggeman, Brandon Handley, Joshua Hess, Kenneth Hughes, and Logan Shoemaker; from Red Lion Area High School: James Axes, Steven Clay, Benjamin Dunlap, Mitchell Myers, Brandon Rineer, andCraig Zrinski. Also participating were Dalton Hake and Ethan Meckley from West York Area High School.
“I was excited to come to HACC Academy’s automotive program because I could begin it without knowing anything about the subject and finish it knowing I can walk out with my emissions and state inspection licenses, ready to work as an Automotive Technician,” explained Dalton Hake, West York High School student.
