April 9, 2014

HARRISBURG, Pa. – Seven students from HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, were named to the 2014 All-PA Community College Academic Team.

The awards program recognizes an exceptional group of community college students who have achieved academic excellence and demonstrated a commitment to their colleges and communities. This year’s All-PA Team consists of 45 outstanding community college students from across Pennsylvania. The program is administered by Phi Theta Kappa, the national two-year college honors society, through a partnership with the Pennsylvania Commission for Community Colleges.

In addition to being named to the All-PA team, HACC students Jessica Schwankl and Heather Venezia were awarded scholarships from the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) to be used at any of the 14 PASSHE universities.

HACC’s All-PA Team members included:

She came to HACC to pursue a business degree in the hopes of one day working for the American Cancer Society (ACS). Delp is an active Phi Theta Kappa member working toward graduation and recently began working as a Relay for Life Specialist at the ACS office in Lancaster.
