 HACC Graduates 2015 Class of its General Motors Automotive Service Educational Program
 
The 26^th cohort of students in the General Motors Automotive Educational Program (GM ASEP) program at HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, graduated during a ceremony held Aug. 5, 2015, at the Bruce E. Cooper Student Center on the Harrisburg Campus.
 
The 11 graduates of the 2015 GM ASEP program earned an associate degree in applied science and are trained as entry level technicians working in a General Motors dealership. The graduates and the dealerships where they work are:

• Scott Gingerich (Lawrence Chevrolet)
• Tiler Kapp (Ebersole Buick GMC)
• Justin Moyer (Sauder Chevrolet – Ephrata)
• Joshua Myers (Red Lion Chevrolet)
• Bradley Nye (Faulkner Cadillac)
• Austin Ray (Regester Chevrolet)
• Ezekiel Sheaman (Penske Buick GMC)
• Kory Stahl (Hondru Chevrolet – Elizabethtown)
• Nicholas Tribioli (Klick Lewis)
• Knute Weber (Sauder Chevrolet – New Holland)
• Zachary West (Sutliff)

The program starts every fall and students alternate between college courses and five paid co-ops at the sponsoring GM dealership.
 
The GM ASEP program is operated in conjunction with the National Automotive Dealers’ Association, local General Motors vocational-technical schools, the U.S. Department of Labor and local dealers’ associations. The GM ASEP program at HACC is certified in the eight categories of automotive repair by the Automotive Service Excellence/National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (ASE/NATEF).
 
The GM ASEP program at HACC is also a satellite location for General Motors dealership training, providing hands-on training and assessment for General Motors dealer technicians.
