Four-Year Transfer Partners

HACC enjoys transfer agreements with many colleges and universities – local, statewide, and across the globe. Our local, partners are schools in, or close to, our 11-county region that have strong relationships and transfer agreements with HACC. These schools include the following:

Central Penn College
Central Penn College has several program-to-program transfer agreements. CPC is willing to maximize the transfer of credits from HACC and offer a $500 scholarship to qualifying HACC students. 

Eastern Mennonite University (Lancaster)
Earn your BSN in 20 months, either fully online or hybrid in Lancaster. Earn your Bachelor of Science in Leadership and Organizational Management in 16 months, in person one night a week in Lancaster. Transfer grants are available to HACC graduates who enroll within one year of completing their program at HACC. 

Elizabethtown College
Elizabethtown College and HACC have a Dual Admission Agreement (pdf) that will provide HACC students with articulated curricula and policies that lead to a bachelor’s degree at Etown. Students pursue their bachelor’s degree through seamless enrollment from an associate degree program at HACC through upper-division coursework at E-town. Dual Admit students can take up to 2 E-town courses for free while completing their associate degree at HACC.

Harrisburg University
Agreements in Nursing and Cybersecurity offer a transfer pathway for HACC graduates into HU. HU offers a generous tuition reduction for HACC Nursing graduates. Our agreements also include chemistry, math/computer science, Environmental Science, and biology

Lancaster Bible College
Transfer to LBC's AA and AS graduates. HACC grads will receive a one-time $500 book award and are eligible for up to $750 per semester for a merit-based scholarship.

Lebanon Valley College
Lebanon Valley College has been a long-time partner with HACC. HACC welcomes transfer students and has a generous scholarship package available to LVC Honors, HACC, and high-performing students.

Messiah University
Messiah University is a top-ranked private university of the liberal and applied arts and sciences in the northeastern U.S. With a reputation for successfully integrating rigorous academics and Christian faith into all of our academic programs, we offer 150+ undergraduate, pre-professional degree options and certificate programs.

Messiah University Online

Earn your accredited online degree from a top-ranked Christian University. Articulation agreement in Nursing allows HACC graduates to seamlessly enter our RN to BSN program and maximize credit transfer. HACC graduates will receive a 10% tuition discount and free textbooks for their first semester in the RN to BSN, RN to MSN, and Online Bachelor in Business Administration programs.

 

Millersville University
Millersville University receives the second-largest number of HACC graduates. Many program-to-program articulations are in place so HACC students can transfer seamlessly to MU and hit the ground running in their junior year.

Penn State HarrisburgYork, and Mont Alto
Penn-State Harrisburg receives more transfer students from HACC than any other college or university. The two institutions have worked collaboratively on their curriculum for decades, so the transfer process is smooth with minimal loss of credits.

Pennsylvania College of Art and Design
Pennsylvania College of Art and Design, central Pennsylvania’s only non-profit private art college, has a dual admissions transfer agreement, giving HACC students who earn an Associate of Fine Art in Photography, An Associate of Applied Science in Graphic Design, or an Associate of Art in Art the opportunity to transfer to the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fine Arts, Photography or Graphic Design programs at HACC&D. PCAD graduates enrolling at HACC with a cumulative PCAD of 3.0 or above are eligible for a $1000 GPA Partnership Scholarship, renewable for one year. 

Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences
Students interested in pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or Health Sciences can transfer up to 80 credits to PA College of Health Sciences. Dual Admission students are guaranteed admission and will have the application fee waived.

Shippensburg University
Shippensburg University is another popular choice for Shippensburg transfer students. Many program-to-program agreements are in place through the statewide agreement described below.

Wilson College
HACC and Wilson College have a General Articulation agreement and a Dual Admission agreement that applies to all AA and AS degrees at HACC.

York College of Pennsylvania
York College of Pennsylvania has several program-to-program transfer agreements with HACC, allowing our students to successfully transfer with little or no loss of credits.
 

  • Bloomsburg University
    Students in a variety of programs can transfer to the Bloomsburg Campus in Bloomsburg, PA. Or students who have earned career associate degrees can stay right here in Harrisburg and earn a Bachelor of Applied Science in Technical Leadership. Bloomsburg offers the BAS-Bloomsburg through a combination of online and on-campus classes. The on-campus classes are offered on the Harrisburg Campus and at the Dixon University Center in Harrisburg. HACC's Partnership with Bloom also includes dual admission and reverse transfer
     
  • Bucknell University
    The Bucknell Community College Scholars Program provides full scholarships to 6 Bucknell Associate-degree graduates to complete their Bachelor’s degree. Recipients are selected through a competitive application and selection process.
     
  • Kutztown University
    Kutztown and HACC have a transfer agreement that applies to all Kutztown AA and AS programs. All HACC graduates transferring to KU will receive a one-time $500 book award. HACC students who apply via the Dual Admission agreement can receive a merit-based scholarship of up to $1000.
     
  • Villanova University
    Villanova agreements offer you the opportunity to complete an associate's degree and successfully prepare yourself for the completion of a bachelor's degree at the same time. Additionally, the College of Professional Studies guaranteed admission to the CPS BIS/BA degree to those who complete the following intent form

14 colleges across the state are part of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. Program-to-program transfer, reverse transfer, and articulation agreements have been developed between all the state community colleges and PASSHE schools per the Pennsylvania System of Higher Education Policy 1990-01-A. In addition, HACC expanded offerings beyond the system-required courses and program-level articulation agreements with Central Pennsylvania Universities Millersville, Shippensburg, Bloomsburg, and Kutztown to include:
