Why did you decide to become a member of the HACC Foundation Board?
I myself am a community college product. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to be a dual enrollment student at the Everett Community College in Washington State while also in high school. This experience shaped who I am today and empowered me to earn a bachelor's degree from the University of Washington afterwards.

What is your professional background, including current employer and position?
I have worked on political campaigns and in government for the bulk of my career, most recently as the secretary of education for Governor Tom Wolf. Following the end of his administration, I began serving as the managing director in Pennsylvania for Mercury Public Affairs, a bipartisan strategic consulting firm.

What are your hobbies and interests?
I love learning, playing music, painting, gardening, and spending time with my wife and our two dogs.
