More than 135 colleges and universities from up and down the East Coast are set to participate in the annual Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling (PACAC) college fair on Wednesday, October 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Cooper Student Center at HACC's Harrisburg Campus. The fair returns for the 31st year to HACC, offering information to anyone contemplating the many options available in higher education.

Free and open to the public, the fair will feature two seminars on topics that are of primary interest to the college-bound student, "Paying for College" and "Selecting the College That's Right for You." Because both seminars are offered first from 6:15 to 6:45 p.m. and again from 7:15 to 7:45 p.m., participants have the opportunity to learn about each topic.

Bruce Diefenderfer of PHEAA (Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency) will lead the seminar, "Paying for College." Diefenderfer will address the financial aid application process, as well as help students and parents understand the right time to start the financial aid process.

Caryn Lange, HACC admissions recruiter, will conduct "Selecting the College That's Right for you." Lange will focus on topics, such as how to identify a student's area of interest and what different colleges have to offer.
