This October HACC's noncredit sessions have a wide range of choices in order to stay fit, learn more about artistic diversions, financial strategies, even how to use eBay. All of the sessions are held at the college's Harrisburg Campus, located at One HACC Drive.

  • Sports/Fitness/Recreation

  • Beginner Ballroom/Latin Dancing - Fox Trot, Swing, Hustle, Waltz and Rumba. Held 12:30-1:30 p.m. Sundays, Oct. 7-Nov. 4. Cost is $40.

    Liquid Dynamics - Shallow water aerobics with a high intensity level. Held 9-10 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, Oct. 15-Dec. 5. Cost is $72.

    Deep Water Power Workout - Develop strong inner core strength. Sessions are held 10:15-11 a.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, Oct. 15-Dec. 5. Cost is $54.

    Deep Hydropower - Challenging deep water workout using HYDROFIT buoyancy and resistance equipment. Scheduled for 8:45-9:45 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, Oct. 16-Dec. 6. Cost is $68.

    Anything Goes - Water Exercise - Think shallow water weight room: wave webs, xerings, ultra toners and buoyancy cuffs. Held 9-10:15 a.m. Fridays, Oct. 19-Dec. 7. Cost is $40.

    Cardio Core Training - Deep water aerobics combined with inner-core training to tone muscles, develop cardiovascular fitness and strengthen lower back and abdominals. Scheduled for 10-11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, Oct. 16-Dec. 6. Cost is $68.

  • eBay Savvy - Covering the process from registration to shipping and payment. Two sessions are scheduled: 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1 and Oct. 8 and again from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16 and Oct. 23. Cost is $40.

    Spend Smart - Find an extra $100 to $400 monthly in your current spending. One session held 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9. Cost is $46.

    Investing for Women - Topics include pros and cons of stocks, bonds and mutual funds investments. Three sessions from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Oct. 10-24 at the Cornerstone Coffeehouse in Camp Hill. Cost is $36.

    Advance Retirement Income Strategies - Advanced class for those who are nearing retirement or who want to learn the latest strategies in retirement income planning. One session from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21 at the Cornerston Coffeehouse in Camp Hill. Cost is $30.

  • Creative Non-Fiction Writing - Participants will develop two of their own creative nonfiction pieces. Two sessions scheduled for 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23 and Oct. 27. Cost is $96.

    Basics of Photographic Lighting - Teaches techniques employed by photojournalists and portrait photographers. Held 7-9 p.m. Thursdays, Oct. 25-Nov. 15. Cost is $95.

    Crochet 101 - Learn a new hobby from the beginning. One session held 6-9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4. Cost is $24.

    Knitting 101 - Learn the basic stitches of this popular hobby. One session 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Oct. 27. cost is $24.

    Wire Work - Teaches how to shape wire into loops, clasps, spirals and more. One session from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Oct. 6. Cost is $25.

    PMC: Pendant with Fused Glass - Create unique shimmering pendants with fused glass. One session schedule for 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20. Cost is $45.

    PMC Beyond the Basics - More intermediate and advanced PMC projects. Scheduled for 6-9 p.m. Mondays, Oct. 29-Nov. 19. Cost is $98.

    Music Reading for Total Beginners - Quickly learn reading skills you need for reading music for any instrument. One session held 2-4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18. Cost is $35.

    Instant Piano for Hopelessly Busy People - Learn the chords needed to play any pop song, any style, any key. One session from 6-9:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18. Cost is $49.

  • Multi-Faceted Ben Franklin - Offers little-known details about Franklin's private and public lives. Scheduled for 6-9 p.m. Tuesdays, Oct. 2-16. Cost is $72.

    Japanese Tea Ceremony and Lecture - As part of Radius, HACC Gallery and Museum Shop Showcase Series - Tea Traditions, guests are invited to a Chanoyu (Japanese Tea Ceremony). Two ceremonies to choose from: 11 a.m.-noon or 1-2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7 at The State Museum of Pennsylvania. Cost is $15.

    Helen Keller/Eleanor of Aquitaine - Part of the Cornerstone Coffeehouse History Classes, Women of Conviction series. Held at the Cornerstone Coffeehouse in Camp Hill from 8:30-10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19. Cost is $20.

    The Lure of Italy - Start the "tour" in 18th century Italy. Two sessions held at Over the Teacup in Camp Hill: 1:30-3:30 p.m. or 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21. Cost is $25.

    Conversational Italian II - Level following the beginner course. Sessions are held 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Sundays, Oct. 28-Dec. 16. Cost is $125.

  • Home and Garden

  • Beekkeeping, Part 2 - How to construct a bee hive and actual installation of bees in the spring of 2008. Two sessions held 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1 and Oct. 8. Cost is $32.
