"Get It Started” shows students what the college offers at Harrisburg Campus locations
Oct. 13, 2010
HARRISBURG – Students thinking about attending college can get the most up-to-date information at a free “Get It Started” open house beginning at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at two locations of the Harrisburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.
The open house is held in Cooper Student Center at the campus on One HACC Drive, and at Midtown II on 1500 N. Third St.
“We want people to know what a great opportunity the open house is to come and tour the campus, bring their questions and talk with student services staff and current students,” said Danielle Brookhart, director of campus recruitment.
Both locations will have information about HACC’s programs, enrollment, financial aid and transfer options. Guests can learn about HACC’s off-site locations, bachelor’s degree completer programs with Troy University and Delaware Valley College and online courses. How students can become involved in sports, clubs and activities also will be covered.
Staff at the Harrisburg Campus on One HACC Drive will lead tours of campus buildings starting at Cooper Student Center. At Midtown, tours of the technology classrooms start at Midtown II and include Midtown I at 1523 N. Fourth St.
Also at Midtown, engineering faculty are hosting “engineering night,” offering program and career information and job outlook.
For more information, go to www.hacc.edu or call 780-2400. Spring semester classes begin Jan. 12.
