Oct. 7, 2011
GETTYSBURG – Discover the many opportunities for a career in healthcare at Allied Health Discovery Day from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at HACC-Gettysburg Campus.
Anyone interested in the field is invited to attend to various careers and what HACC has to offer to students in order to acquire the skills needed to succeed.
Allied health professionals work in teams to support dentists, physicians and nurses to make the healthcare system function by providing a range of diagnostic, technical, therapeutic and direct patient care and support services.
“High school students are invited to Allied Health Discovery Day to learn more about in-demand careers in health care from area healthcare professionals,” said Heather Watt, campus coordinator of admissions recruitment. “College staff and faculty from HACC's Allied Health majors will be on hand to answer questions and provide demonstrations. It will be an exciting day.”
Those who attend also will find out about the local and regional outlook for allied health careers, hear from HACC students about their student experiences, talk to HACC faculty and Adams/Hanover healthcare professionals, and find out how to get started at HACC.
In addition, information will be provided on financial aid and HACC’s easy enrollment process.
