Prospective students will find convenient way to get started
June 7, 2011
GETTYSBURG – Jump start your future by enrolling in one of the many transfer and career associate degrees, certificate and diploma programs offered at the Gettysburg Campus of HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College.
Students planning to attend the college this fall can begin the enrollment process in a convenient, “one stop” event from 8 a.m.-9 p.m., Wednesday, June 29, in the Welcome Center at the campus, 731 Old Harrisburg Road. HACC’s one-time $35 application fee will be waived for those attending the event on that one day only.
Students can accomplish several tasks in just one visit:
  • Complete an application for admission
  • Take placement testing to determine course eligibility (approximately two hours); the last placement test will begin at 5 p.m.; photo ID required for placement testing
  • Find out about financial aid, veterans and military benefits, and payment plan options
  • Schedule a return appointment for academic advising
“Prospective students in Adams/Hanover may take advantage of any of the 30 academic programs offered at Gettysburg, and have access to more than 100 others through our sister campuses,” said Scott Simonds, campus dean of student affairs. “HACC is the most affordable option in the region,” he added.
Registration for fall 2011 is under way. Fall classes begin on Aug. 29 in Gettysburg and Hanover, with fall classes starting one week earlier on Aug. 22 in the Chambersburg area locations of Chambersburg Area Senior High School and Franklin County Career and Technical Center and HACC’s other campuses.
In addition to HACC-Gettysburg Campus, “one stop” sessions will be held at HACC’s campuses in Harrisburg, Lancaster, Lebanon and York starting at 8 a.m. Wednesday, June 29; closing times may vary. No appointment is necessary to attend the event.
