ClassHeartcode BLS (Basic Life Support)
AboutThe AHA's Heartcode BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel in a clinical setting who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings. E-Learning component of BLS blended learning, this course uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities to teach students BLS knowledge and skills. The required online portion is purchased separately, directly through the American Heart Association.
Who should take this class?

Students enrolled in one of the following programs:

  • Dental Assisting
  • Dental Hygiene
  • Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Expanded Function Dental Assisting
  • Medical Laboratory Technician

Please print and bring your course completion certificate to class.

Classroom Portion 

Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete the hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS Instructor.

AboutThe American Heart Association (AHA) has developed eLearning components for the Heartsaver CPR AED. Heartsaver courses are intended for anyone with little or no medical training, who needs a course completion card for a job, regulatory agency (i.e., OHSA), or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. The required online portion is purchased separately, directly through the American Heart Association.
 Who should take this class?If you are to be trained to the LAY RESCUER level

When is registration due?
Registration closes two weeks before the start of class. We will not accept on-site registrations. Payment is due at the time of registration.

Companies can register students with a Permission to Bill Form.  

You can access eCards at any time on the AHA website. For information on eCards, please call 717-780-2458.
