Attendance at a Nursing Information Session (2025) is now mandatory for all prospective LPN and RN students before and in order to apply for clinicals. A nursing information session is not the same as an advising session or meeting with a nursing advisor.

All prospective nursing students begin in the Allied Health AAS program.  Once they fulfill the application requirements, they can apply for admission to either the Registered Nursing Program or the Practical Nursing Program. These admission criteria will be discussed during advising sessions.

Session Details:

  • Conducted via Zoom or in person on campus as listed. In person sessions do not have Zoom
  • Sessions last approximately two hours: a one-hour presentation followed by a Q&A period.
  • Please log in before the session start time.
  • Attending by phone call (without video) is NOT acceptable. Cameras must be on during the session.

  • Earn a Nursing Associate in Science Degree(ADN).
  • Be eligible to sit for the RN licensure exam (NCLEX-RN®) administered by the PA State Board of Nursing

Where are clinical classes held?

HACC offers full-time day and part-time programs:

  • The full-time day program is at Gettysburg, Harrisburg and Lancaster campuses.
  • The part-time program is at Gettysburg, Harrisburg, Lancaster and York campuses.
  • You can take general education (prerequisite) courses at other campuses and sites.
