HACC’s admissions application system is scheduled to be upgraded Oct. 4-9. During this time, future students will not be able to submit an admissions application. Please visit start.hacc.edu to learn more. Thank you for your patience.
HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, is the college of choice for students seeking to complete college-level courses while still in high school.
HACC provides an inclusive, accessible and accredited learning experience. High school students can earn college credits while completing their requirements for a high school diploma and matriculate to HACC or other colleges of their choice after graduating from high school.
There are two options for high school juniors and seniors:
SOAR Career and technical education (CTE) students at approved career and technical education centers may earn college credit for their career programs taught at their high school and continued at HACC.
Most HACC courses are three credits. Students can confirm bills and make payment via MyHACC – Registration/Records. Student bills are not mailed home. Retroactive credits will not be awarded.
High School Student Type | Cost Per Credit | Cost for a Three-Credit Class |
Dual Enrollment | $175 | $525 |
College in the High School | $83.50 | $250.50 |
Many high schools across HACC’s 11-county region participate in Dual Enrollment or College in the High School. Please contact your high school counselor to determine if your school participates.
College in the High School | Dual Enrollment |
HACC’s College in the High School (CHS) Program allows students to earn college credit for HACC courses taught by their high school instructors at their high school during the school day. | High school students may enroll in HACC courses to earn college credits while still in high school. Dual enrollment courses are taught at a HACC campus or online. |
The same Admissions application needs to be completed for Dual Enrollment or College in the High School classes. (If you are taking both a Dual Enrollment and College in the High School course, you only need to complete one application.)
