Lunchtime with Mooz-lum director, Qasim Basir (Award Winning Filmmaker) Wednesday, April 21, from Noon - 1 p.m. Join Student Involvement as Filmmaker Qasim Basir talks candidly, shares stories on the Arab American experience and his work in filmmaking to fight Arabas' negative portrayals. He will also share his personal experiences growing up Black and Muslim, while exploring the harmful and often-dangerous stereotypes that the TV and film industry often use to portray Black people and Muslims. All are welcome.
