Students in GM Automotive Service Education Program to benefit
March 8, 2011

HARRISBURG – HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, has been awarded a 2004 Saturn Vue through General Motors’ corporate donations program to assist in the GM Automotive Service Education Program (ASEP).

Students in the program work and learn on the job through the GM Training Network, which incorporates advanced automotive technical training with a strong academic foundation, and analytical and technical skills that are GM specific. Successful graduates earn an associate in applied science degree.

Since 1979, GM’s support of colleges and universities in the GM Training Network has produced more than 15,000 service technicians nationwide.

For more information about the GM ASEP program at HACC, contact Wayne Musser, professor of automotive technology, at (717) 780-2651 or go to www.hacc.edu and search “Automotive Technology – GM.”
